Mere priya pathakon, main Abhishek Soni, aapka jyotish mitra aur margdarshak, aaj aapke samaksh ek aise pavitra vrat ki gehri samjh lekar upasthit hua hoon, jiska palan kar anadi kaal se bhakton ne Bhagwan Vishnu ki apar kripa prapt ki hai. Hum baat kar rahe hain Ekadashi Vrat ki – ek aisa upvas jo na sirf sharirik shuddhi karta hai, balki hamari aatma ko bhi divya urja se bhar deta hai.

Aap mein se kitne log Ekadashi ka vrat rakhte hain? Aur kitne log iske sahi niyamon ko lekar thode asamanjas mein rehte hain? Dono hi sthitio mein, yeh lekh aapke liye hai. Maine dekha hai ki kai bar log shraddha se vrat toh rakhte hain, lekin jaankari ke abhav mein choti-choti galtiyan kar dete hain, jisse vrat ka poora phal nahi mil pata. Aaj, main aapko Ekadashi vrat ke sabhi pehluon se avgat karaunga, taaki aap poore vidhi-vidhan aur shraddha ke saath is punyafal ko prapt kar sakein.

Ekadashi Vrat: Kya Hai Aur Kyun Karein?

Sabse pehle, yeh samajhna zaroori hai ki Ekadashi kya hai. Hindu panchang ke anusar, pratyek chandramaas mein do Ekadashi tithiyan aati hain – ek Shukla Paksha mein aur ek Krishna Paksha mein. Yeh gyarahvi tithi Bhagwan Vishnu ko samarpit hai. 'Ekadashi' shabd 'Ek' (ek) aur 'Dashi' (das) se milkar bana hai, jiska arth hai gyarahvi.

Ekadashi ka vrat kewal ek upvas nahi, balki indriyon par sanyam rakhne aur Bhagwan Vishnu ke prati apni bhakti ko dridh karne ka ek avasar hai. Mana jata hai ki is din Bhagwan Vishnu vishesh roop se jagrit rehte hain aur apne bhakton ki prarthanaon ko sunte hain. Puranon mein iske anek mahatva bataye gaye hain. Jaise ki:

  • Paapon se mukti: Ekadashi vrat ko sabhi paapon ka nash karne wala mana gaya hai.
  • Manokamna poorti: Jo bhakt shraddha se Ekadashi ka vrat rakhte hain, unki sabhi manokamnayein poori hoti hain.
  • Moksha ki prapti: Parampara hai ki Ekadashi vrat ke niyamit palan se antatah moksha ki prapti hoti hai.
  • Sharirik aur mansik shuddhi: Upvas sharir ko vishar mukt karta hai aur mann ko shant, ekagrah banata hai.

Har Ekadashi ka apna ek alag naam aur mahatva hota hai, jaise Nirjala Ekadashi (jo sabse kathin mani jati hai), Papamochani Ekadashi (paapon se mukti dene wali), Mokshada Ekadashi (moksha pradan karne wali), aur Devshayani Ekadashi (jis din Bhagwan Vishnu char mahine ke liye yoga nidra mein chale jaate hain). Aap jis bhi Ekadashi ka vrat rakhein, uske mul niyam ek saman hi rehte hain.

Ekadashi Vrat Ke Mukhya Niyam: The Foundation

Ekadashi vrat ke kuch buniyadi niyam hain jo har Ekadashi par lagu hote hain. Inhe samajhna aur inka palan karna bahut zaroori hai. Yaad rakhein, yeh kewal niyamon ka ek jhoond nahi, balki aapki shraddha aur samarpan ka prateek hain.

  • Brahmacharya: Vrat ke din brahmacharya ka palan karna chahiye.
  • Indriya Sanyam: Kewal bhojan hi nahi, apni sabhi indriyon par sanyam rakhna chahiye – anavashyak bolne se bachen, buri baatein na sochein, krodh na karein.
  • Ahinsa: Kisi bhi jeev ko kasht na pahunchayein.
  • Bhagwan Vishnu ka smaran: Poore din Bhagwan Vishnu ke naam ka jaap, unki kathaon ka path ya shravan karte rahen.

Vrat Se Ek Din Pehle: Dashami Ke Niyam

Ekadashi vrat ki shuruat uske ek din pehle, yani Dashami tithi se hi ho jati hai. Yeh din vrat ke liye sharir aur mann ko taiyar karne ka hota hai.

  • Ek Waqt Bhojan: Dashami ke din sirf ek waqt bhojan karna chahiye, aur woh bhi suryast se pehle.
  • Halka Bhojan: Bhojan hamesha shuddha, satvik aur halka hona chahiye. Masaledar, tali hui cheezein aur non-veg se door rahen.
  • Anaaj aur Daal Se Parhez: Kuch paramparaon mein Dashami ke din se hi anaaj (chaawal, gehu, bajra) aur daalon (moong, chana, masoor) se parhez shuru ho jata hai. Iske bajaye aap phal, sabziyan aur doodh ka sevan kar sakte hain.
  • Mansik Shuddhi: Kisi se jhagda na karein, buri baatein na sochein. Bhagwan ka smaran karte hue shant rehne ka prayas karein.

Mera anubhav kehta hai ki Dashami ka sahi palan aapke Ekadashi vrat ko aur bhi prabhavi bana deta hai. Yeh aapke sharir ko aage ke upvas ke liye taiyar karta hai aur mann ko adhyatmik bhawnaon se jodta hai.

Vrat Ke Din: Ekadashi Ke Din Ke Niyam

Ekadashi ka din hi sabse mahatvapurna hota hai. Is din ke niyamon ka palan atyant savdhani aur shraddha se karna chahiye.

Sankalp (Vow)

Subah jaldi uthkar, snan adi se nivritt hokar swachh vastra dharan karein. Bhagwan Vishnu ki pratima ya chitra ke samaksh, haath mein jal, pushp aur akshat lekar apne vrat ka sankalp lein. Jaise, "He Prabhu, main aaj Ekadashi ka vrat rakhne ka sankalp karta/karti hoon. Kripya mujhe is vrat ko niyam poorvak sampann karne ki shakti pradan karein aur mere vrat ko swikar karein."

Aahar Niyam (Dietary Rules)

Yeh Ekadashi vrat ka sabse charchit aur kabhi-kabhi bhramit karne wala pehlu hai. Samjho ki kya khana hai aur kya nahi:

  • Poori Tarah Se Varjit Bhojan:
    • Anaaj: Chaawal, gehu, jau, bajra, makka, raagi, suji, maida - yeh sabhi anaaj bilkul nahi khane chahiye.
    • Daal: Arhar, moong, chana, masoor, urad, rajma, chole - sabhi prakar ki daalein varjit hain.
    • Non-Veg: Maas, machhli, ande - inka sevan toh kisi bhi pavitra din nahi karna chahiye.
    • Pyaz aur Lahsun: Yeh tamasik bhojan ki shreni mein aate hain aur inka sevan nahi karna chahiye.
    • Masale: Haldi, rai, methi, hing - kuch log in masalon se bhi parhez karte hain. Sabse surakshit hai adrak, hari mirch, sendha namak aur kali mirch ka upyog.
    • Sharab aur Tambaku: Inka sevan toh kabhi bhi nahi karna chahiye, visheshkar vrat ke din.
  • Anumodit Bhojan (Allowed Foods):
    • Kuttu ka Atta (Buckwheat Flour): Isse roti, poori ya cheela bana sakte hain.
    • Singhare ka Atta (Water Chestnut Flour): Kuttu ki tarah iska bhi upyog hota hai.
    • Sabudana (Tapioca Pearls): Khichdi ya kheer bana sakte hain.
    • Samak Ke Chaawal (Barnyard Millet): Isse pulao ya kheer bana sakte hain.
    • Phal: Sabhi prakar ke phal jaise seb, kela, anar, papita, santra, angur, aam adi.
    • Sabziyan: Aaloo, shakarkand, arbi, petha, kaddu, tamatar (kuch log nahi khate), kakdi. Pattiyon wali sabziyon se bachna chahiye, jaise palak, sarson.
    • Doodh aur Dudh Se Bane Utpad: Doodh, dahi, paneer, makhhan, ghee.
    • Meva: Badam, kaju, akhrot, kishmish, nariyal.
    • Mishri aur Gud: Cheeni ki jagah inka upyog kar sakte hain.
    • Sendha Namak: Sadharan namak ki jagah sendha namak ka hi upyog karein.

Mera sujhav hai ki agar aap naye hain toh phalhari vrat se shuruwat karein. Isme aap upar diye gaye anumodit bhojan ka sevan kar sakte hain. Jo log sampurna upvas kar sakte hain, unke liye Nirjala Ekadashi sabse shreshtha mani jati hai.

Jal (Water)

Ekadashi vrat ke kai prakar hote hain, aur jal ka sevan us par nirbhar karta hai:

  • Nirjala Ekadashi: Ismein jal ki ek boond bhi grahan nahi ki jati. Yeh sabse kathin aur sabse punyafaldayi vrat mana jata hai.
  • Phalhari Ekadashi: Ismein jal ka sevan kar sakte hain, aur upar bataye gaye anumodit phal aur sabziyan bhi kha sakte hain.
  • Jalpan Ekadashi: Ismein kewal jal aur kuch taral padarth jaise doodh, nimbu pani (bina namak-cheeni ke) ya phalon ka ras liya ja sakta hai.

Apni sharirik kshamata aur swasthya ke anusar hi vrat ka prakar chunein. Swasthya sabse pehle hai.

Vrat Katha aur Puja (Vrat Story and Worship)

Ekadashi ke din Bhagwan Vishnu ki vishesh puja archana karni chahiye. Ismein shaamil hai:

  • Bhagwan Vishnu ka Abhishekh: Jal, doodh, dahi, ghee, shahad aur gangajal se unka abhishek karein.
  • Deep Prajvalit Karein: Shuddh ghee ka deepak jalayein.
  • Pushp aur Tulsi: Tulsi ke patte Bhagwan Vishnu ko atyant priya hain. Ekadashi ke din tulsi ke patte todne se bachein, Dashami ko hi tod kar rakh lein. Agar aap tulsi ke patte nahi tod sakte, toh pichhle din ke tode hue patton ka upyog karein.
  • Mantra Jaap: "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" mantra ka adhik se adhik jaap karein. Vishnu Sahasranamam ka path bhi bahut shubh mana jata hai.
  • Ekadashi Vrat Katha: Har Ekadashi ki apni ek vishesh katha hoti hai. Us katha ko padhna ya sunna chahiye. Isse vrat ka mahatva aur bhi dridh hota hai.

Manasik Niyam (Mental Discipline)

Sharirik sanyam ke sath-sath, mansik shuddhi bhi bahut zaroori hai:

  • Brahmacharya: Vrat ke din sampurna brahmacharya ka palan karein.
  • Krodh aur Lobh Se Mukti: Kisi par krodh na karein, kisi cheez ka lobh na karein.
  • Chugli aur Ninda Se Bachein: Kisi ki burai na karein, aur na hi kisi ki chugli sunein.
  • Bhagwan ka Smaran: Apna adhikansh samay Bhagwan ke smaran, unke naam jaap aur dhyan mein bitayein.

Yeh niyamon ka palan hi aapke Ekadashi vrat ko sampurna banata hai. Kewal bhojan tyag dena hi vrat nahi hai, mann ko bhi shuddh rakhna utna hi mahatvapurna hai.

Daan (Donation)

Ekadashi ke din dan karne ka vishesh mahatva hai. Apni kshamata anusar, aap ann, vastra, dhan ya gyan ka dan kar sakte hain. Kisi garib ya zarooratmand ko bhojan karana bhi bahut punyafaldayi mana jata hai. Isse Bhagwan Vishnu prasanna hote hain aur aapka vrat safal hota hai.

Raatri Jagran (Night Vigil)

Yadi sambhav ho, toh Ekadashi ki raat ko jagran karna chahiye. Bhagwan Vishnu ke bhajan-kirtan karein, unki kathaon ka path karein. Yeh man ko shanti deta hai aur adhyatmik urja ko badhata hai. Agar poori raat jagran sambhav na ho, toh kuch ghante bhi jagran kar sakte hain.

Vrat Ke Agle Din: Dwadashi Ke Paarana Niyam

Ekadashi vrat ka sampurn phal tabhi milta hai jab uska paarana (vrat todna) sahi samay aur sahi vidhi se kiya jaye. Dwadashi tithi ko vrat todne ko Paarana kehte hain.

Paarana Samay (Breaking Time)

Paarana hamesha Dwadashi tithi ke andar hi karna chahiye, aur Ekadashi ke agle din Suryoday ke baad. Ekadashi paarana ke liye ek nishchit samay hota hai, jise 'Paarana Muhurat' kehte hain. Yeh Muhurat panchang mein spasht roop se darshaya jata hai. Kabhie bhi Dwadashi tithi ke khatam hone se pehle paarana karein. Yadi Dwadashi tithi Suryoday se pehle samapt ho jaye toh Suryoday ke baad turant paarana kar lein. Trayodashi mein paarana karna doshpoorna mana jata hai.

Paarana Vidhi (Breaking Method)

  • Bhojan se Pehle Puja: Paarana se pehle Bhagwan Vishnu ki puja karein aur unka dhanyawad karein ki unhone aapko vrat sampann karne ki shakti di.
  • Anaaj Ka Sevan: Paarana hamesha anaaj (chaawal ya gehu) se karna chahiye, lekin pehle hamesha bhojan mein tulsi patra aur gangajal ka upyog karna chahiye. Kuch log ek chammach ghi mein tulsi patra aur gangajal ko mila kar pehle grahan karte hain.
  • Satvik Bhojan: Paarana ke samay bhi satvik bhojan hi grahan karein. Masaledar aur tali hui cheezon se bachein. Ek choti si matra mein anaaj kha kar aap apne niyamit bhojan ki taraf ja sakte hain.
  • Daan: Paarana ke samay bhi dan karna bahut shubh mana jata hai. Brahmin bhojan karana, gaay ko chara khilana, ya kisi zarooratmand ko bhojan dena punyafaldayi hai.

Yaad rahe, galat samay par paarana karne se vrat ka phal nasht ho sakta hai. Isliye, apne sthan ke panchang ke anusar paarana ka sahi samay avashya dekhein.

Brahmin Bhojan/Daan (Feeding Brahmins/Donation)

Dwadashi ke din, paarana karne se pehle, kisi Brahmin ko bhojan karana ya unhe dan-dakshina dena Ekadashi vrat ka ek anivarya ang mana jata hai. Yadi Brahmin uplabdh na hon, toh kisi zarooratmand vyakti ko bhojan karayein. Yeh karya aapke vrat ki poornata aur uske punya mein vriddhi karta hai.

Vrat Samapan (Completion of Vrat)

Ant mein, Bhagwan Vishnu ka dhanyawad karein aur unse agle Ekadashi vrat ko bhi niyam poorvak sampann karne ki shakti pradan karne ki prarthana karein. Is tarah aapka Ekadashi vrat safalta aur poornata ke saath sampann hota hai.

Vishesh Paristhitiyon Mein Niyam (Rules in Special Circumstances)

Jeevan mein kai aisi paristhitiyan aati hain jab poore niyamon ka palan karna mushkil ho jata hai. Aise mein kya karein?

Bachche, Buzurg aur Garbhavati Mahilayein (Children, Elderly, Pregnant Women)

Dharma shastron mein in logon ko vrat ke kathor niyamon se chhoot di gayi hai. Unke liye devotion (bhakti) zyada mahatvapurna hai, na ki kathin anushasan.

  • Bachche: Agar bachche vrat rakhna chahte hain, toh unhe phal, doodh aur halka phalhari bhojan de sakte hain. Unhe bhookha rakhna uchit nahi.
  • Buzurg: Buzurg vyakti apni sharirik kshamata ke anusar vrat rakhein. Agar poora upvas sambhav na ho, toh phalhari upvas kar sakte hain ya sirf Bhagwan ka naam jaap kar sakte hain.
  • Garbhavati Mahilayein: Garbhavati mahilaon ko Nirjala vrat bilkul nahi rakhna chahiye. Woh phal, doodh aur sahatmand phalhari bhojan le sakti hain. Unke liye garbhasth shishu ka swasthya sarvopari hai.

Aise mamlon mein, vrat ka uddeshya Bhagwan ka smaran aur unke prati shraddha rakhna hai, na ki sharir ko kasht dena.

Bimari Mein (During Illness)

Yadi koi vyakti bimar hai aur doctor ne use upvas karne se mana kiya hai, toh use Ekadashi ka vrat nahi rakhna chahiye. Aise mein, aap Bhagwan Vishnu ka manasik smaran kar sakte hain, mantra jaap kar sakte hain, aur unki katha padh sakte hain. Swasthya labh hone par aap agli Ekadashi ka vrat rakh sakte hain. Swasthya sarvopari hai.

Sutak/Patak (Impurity Periods)

Sutak (janm ke karan ashuddhi) ya Patak (mrityu ke karan ashuddhi) ki avadhi mein bhi vrat ke niyamon mein dheel di jati hai. Is dauran mandir mein pravesh ya murti sparsh se parhez kiya jata hai, lekin manasik jaap aur Bhagwan ka smaran jari rakha ja sakta hai. Bhojan ke niyamon ka palan apni suvidha anusar kiya ja sakta hai.

Yadi Vrat Toot Jaye (If Vrat is Broken)

Agar anajane mein ya kisi anivarya paristhiti mein aapka vrat toot jata hai, toh ghabraein nahi. Man se Bhagwan Vishnu se kshama maangein. Aap doosri baar snan karke punah sankalp le sakte hain, ya phir agle din Dwadashi ko Brahmin bhojan ya dan karke dosh nivaran kar sakte hain. Sabse mahatvapurna aapki shraddha aur pashchatap ki bhavna hai.

Ekadashi Vrat Ke Labh aur Mahatva (Benefits and Significance of Ekadashi Vrat)

Ekadashi vrat ke niyamon ka palan karne se sirf punya hi nahi milta, balki iske anek adhyatmik, mansik aur sharirik labh bhi hain:

  • Adhyatmik Labh:
    • Bhagwan Vishnu se gehra sambandh sthapit hota hai.
    • Paapon ka nash hota hai aur punya mein vriddhi hoti hai.
    • Moksha ki disha mein ek kadam badhta hai.
    • Aatma ki shuddhi hoti hai.
  • Mansik Labh:
    • Mann shant aur ekagrah hota hai.
    • Ichha shakti majboot hoti hai.
    • Nakaratmak vicharon se mukti milti hai.
    • Atma-sanyam aur dhairya badhta hai.
  • Sharirik Labh:
    • Sharir ka detoxification hota hai.
    • Pachan tantra ko aaram milta hai aur woh sudharta hai.
    • Rog pratirodhak kshamata badhti hai.
    • Sharir mein urja ka sanchar hota hai.

Yeh vrat kewal ek dharmik pratha nahi, balki ek samagra jeevan shaili hai jo aapko bahar aur andar dono taraf se shuddh karti hai. Jab aap shraddha aur nishtha se Ekadashi ka palan karte hain, toh aap mehsoos karenge ki aapke jeevan mein ek alag hi prakash aur sakaratmakta aa rahi hai.

Mere priya pathakon, Ekadashi vrat ke niyam kathin lag sakte hain, lekin jab aap inhe shraddha aur samarpan ke saath apnate hain, toh Bhagwan Vishnu ki kripa aap par avashya barasti hai. Yeh kewal bhojan tyagne ka din nahi, balki apni indriyon par sanyam rakhkar, apne mann ko shuddh karke, aur Bhagwan mein poori tarah se lin hokar unki bhakti karne ka din hai.

Agar aap abhi tak Ekadashi vrat nahi rakhte the, toh mein aapko prerit karunga ki aap apni kshamata ke anusar shuruwat karein. Phalon aur doodh ke saath phalhari Ekadashi se shuru karein aur dheere-dheere apni bhakti ko badhayein. Agar aap pehle se vrat rakhte hain, toh in niyamon ko dhyan mein rakhte hue apne vrat ko aur bhi shuddhta ke saath sampann karein.

Ant mein, mein Bhagwan Vishnu se prarthana karta hoon ki woh aap sabhi ko Ekadashi vrat ke punya aur labh pradan karein aur aapke jeevan ko sukh, shanti aur samriddhi se bhar dein. Jai Shri Hari!
